Superheroes Events Limited’s (SEL’s) fundraising activities have continues to evolve and grow through the increasing number of events and activities of the annual Shoalhaven Superheroes Festival (SSF), which now stages and attends events within and outside the Shoalhaven region.
Having previously raised funds for other charities and causes, in September 2018, the opportunity arose to consider fundraising for SEL’s own Shoalhaven Family Facility cause, now named the Superheroes Community Care River Retreat Facility (River Retreat) in Shoalhaven Heads NSW.
The purpose of the River Retreat is to provide additional short-stay accommodation for families with chronically ill kids and/or families requiring benevolent assistance.
The River Retreat is located in a prime waterfront position on the beautiful Shoalhaven River, and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 residents. It has been renovated to a high standard, and has 2 bedrooms in the main house, and 1 bedroom in the self-contained annex.
